Notification, display who created the task
Problem Statement
When a task is created, the notification does not indicate which user created it. Instead, it shows "Triggered by Kaneo", which makes it harder to understand who performed the action without opening the task and checking its activity logs.
Proposed Solution
Display the name of the user who created the task directly in the notification.
For example:
John Doe created a new task: API Versioning
The notification could replace or supplement "Triggered by Kaneo" with the user who actually created the task.
This would provide the necessary context immediately without requiring users to open the task.
Alternative Solutions
Users can open the task in the dashboard and check the activity logs to find out who created it.
However, this adds an unnecessary step when the information could be displayed directly in the notification.
Relevant Context
Currently, the notification shows:
New task created: #15 API Versioning
New task created
A new task was added: API Versioning
Task #15 API Versioning
Project API
Status To Do
Priority No PriorityTriggered by Kaneo
The notification identifies Kaneo as the trigger, but does not show which user actually created the task.
The proposed change would replace or supplement "Triggered by Kaneo" with the name of the user who created the task.
Does this feature align with Kaneo's focus on simplicity?
Yes, because it provides useful context directly in the notification without adding another step to the user's workflow. Users can immediately see who created the task instead of opening the task and checking the activity logs.
